What is in Huel Complete Protein?
Huel Complete Protein is a plant protein blend. The UK ingredients list for the Banana Milkshake flavour starts with pea protein, faba bean protein and brown rice protein, followed by natural flavourings, a vitamin and mineral blend, chicory and corn fibre, xanthan gum, flaxseed oil powder and the sweetener sucralose. The added nutrients include vitamin D, vitamin B12, calcium and iodine. Huel describes it as vegan, gluten free and soy free.
How much protein is in one serving?
Each 29g scoop contains 20g of protein and 105 kcal, according to the UK label for the Banana Milkshake flavour. That is 70g of protein per 100g, with 0.4g of sugar and 6.1g of fibre per 100g. A bag holds 26 scoops.

How much does Huel protein cost per 25g compared with whey?

Is Huel protein a complete protein for vegans?
Yes, by design. A single plant protein is usually low in at least one essential amino acid: pea protein is low in methionine, for example. Huel blends pea with faba bean and brown rice so they cover each other's gaps, and Huel says the result has a complete amino acid profile. Most vegan blends use the same trick.
