What does unflavoured protein powder taste like?
Unflavoured whey tastes faintly of milk, a bit like powdered milk without the sweetness. It is not unpleasant, but most people do not enjoy it on its own in water. One detail is worth knowing. Myprotein sells Impact Whey by the number of servings, and the 90-serving Natural Vanilla bag held 2.43kg against 2.7kg for Unflavoured, at the same £91.49. So the naturally flavoured bag gave you 10% less powder for the money. The only way unflavoured works out cheaper per 25g of protein is if its label shows more protein per 100g than the flavoured version, and brands do not always publish a separate label for each flavour.
